A software developer from New Jersey has died after a car accident in Florida, according to authorities.
Police said they found Mark Devenski, 52, on a roadway after he was hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning near the town of Fort Myers, Florida.
Devenski was airlifted to a local hospital where he later died, the Fort Myers Police Department said in a statement.
DeVENSKI was an award-winning software developer who worked on the company’s popular Web application.
He was the company founder, the company website says.
Deavenski’s death comes just days after the death of a Florida software developer in a similar crash.
The driver of the vehicle that killed the Floridian, a 55-year-old from West Palm Beach, was cited with leaving the scene of an accident and leaving the roadway, authorities said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the incident is under investigation.
