A new video streaming platform for India that is part of a larger global move by the streaming service to target Indian consumers will launch in the country on Wednesday.
Netflix has been building out a robust Indian business for the last five years.
The company said it plans to launch the service on Tuesday.
Netflix has been in talks with local content companies for some time, but it has struggled to find an Indian partner.
It has partnered with the local content company, Rishikesh Entertainment, to develop content for the Indian market.
The service will be available in India starting on March 1.
Netflix said it has invested more than $2 billion in India since 2015.
It plans to create hundreds of thousands of jobs over the next two years, it said.
Netflix will provide a platform for content creators, distributors and consumers to share their content.
